An Omnidirectional Electric Skateboard
A current electric skateboard allows one dimensional motorized motion, often controlled by a handheld remote control. This limits one’s ability to control the board in crowded places such as a college campus. Our project is an omnidirectional skateboard. We plan to implement motorization in two dimensions, both forward and backward and side to side, using a swerve drive motor. The result is an evolution of the electric skateboard, which is both easy to control and extremely satisfying to ride.
