Shake 'n Wake

Created on 07 Nov 2017

A bed that shakes you to wake you up in the morning as an alternative to an alarm clock

Many people have trouble getting up in the morning, whether it's because of the suffocating allure of the snooze button or because they simply, yet inexplicably, sleep through their alarm. Well with this neat little thingamabob, we can all kiss our alarm clock hating ways goodbye! This device will rouse you from your slumber by shaking you with increasing violence, making it impossible to go back to sleep! Never again will you raise your fists in the air and curse the world after missing your final! Never again will your violently throw your bleeping phone across the room before your regrettably early 8:30 class! You'll be able to rest easy knowing that you won't rest *too* easy when the morning comes around.

Made a relay circuit to allow Arduino to control the big boi aka the ac motor aka my one true love

Wrote code to interpret accelerometer data. Actually let's not kid ourselves, I just took most of it from sparkfun
Justin Tunis 18 Jan 2018, 12:37 a.m. EST
Hooked up accelerometer to the Arduino. I posted a picture of the wiring just to show everyone what happens when a meche tries to make a circuit (it could also just be because of woeful organizational skills but I'm just gonna stay in denial about that for now)
Justin Tunis 18 Jan 2018, 12:41 a.m. EST
Set up second circuit to allow the Arduino to control the relays that will change the direction of the motors rotation
